GRAZE Catering Party

Last month, John and Becca from GRAZE Catering hosted the nicest party to celebrate 5 years of business. GRAZE is the best catering company in the valley, hands down. John focuses on fresh, local food and it’s always delicious and inventive. Have you been to their sammich shop downtown? So good. I brought my camera along to take a few snaps of the party. It was a challenge juggling my big ol’ camera and my wine, but I managed.

I processed these photos with the new Visual Supply Company Lightroom presets. They’re great–I’m able to use them and get great results with little tweaking.

A most fabulous rehearsal dinner.

Whitney and Nate had a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Balboa winery this past summer. I’ll be sharing their wedding in the next day or two, but in the meantime feast your eyes on this awesome chapeau-themed event. Whitney and her sister had their hats shipped over from London. I swear, if I give up on photography I think I’ll become a milliner–I’m that in love with these fabulous creations. The beautiful food was provided by T.Macarones. and the incredible venue was courtesy Balboa Winery.

Wonderful mountain wedding at Ritter Farms. Jen and Will were extremely fun to work with, including their great DIY touches. Loved everything about their day.

Just yesterday I received this touching e-mail from Jen, which reminded me why capturing these celebrations is so very important.

Hi Ali – just wanted to let you know we got our disc with the photos and we are (again) very excited. Also, just as a side note, at various points you captured one of our dear guests, who I have known my entire life and is like another grandparent to me. He was the older gentleman who sat up near the front and got to hitch a ride in the John Deere after the ceremony. As you may have noticed he was in pretty poor health – we weren’t certain he was even going to be able to come to the wedding. He passed away this past weekend and we’ll be using one of your lovely photos of him at his memorial service on Friday. Just another illustration of how important and meaningful your work is – and what it has meant and will continue to mean to us. Thank you again.
